All articles will include your byline, as well as an optional bio if provided. Your bio can include a photo as well as links out to your site or contact information.
Submissions must be the original works of the author. Works are posted for an indefinite period of time as determined by Urban Beatz, Inc. All works submitted are wholly owned by the author and as such, authors may request to have their submitted works removed at any time. Due to the number of submissions we receive, we cannot always provide explanations as to why submissions were not chosen to be published.
I Want to Have My Own Column on UBI
Columnists are contributors that keep a regularly-updated column/blog on UBI that covers a specific topic or theme. Columns must be updated with a new entry at least once a month to be maintained.
To pitch a column idea, contact the Editor (Editor In Chief) with a proposed title for your column and a one-paragraph introduction setting up the theme of your column.
If approved, you will need to provide the first article installment to your column before it is published. All columns will include a custom header, and will be featured on the Channel main page in which it best fits. All articles posted to a column will be featured throughout the site and in our newsletter. Your column main page and every article posted to your column will also include your byline, bio and optional photo as well as links out to own website and/or contact information.
To pitch a column idea, contact the Editor (Email: Montique, Editor In Chief)
If you are interested in becoming a UBI Editor, please contact Montique, Editor In Chief detailing your area(s) of interest, why you want to be an Editor and how you feel you can contribute.

Plus, you get to add the title of "Editor" to your resume. Editors will receive a UBI email address and business cards.
